FAQ · Basics

How can short-drama products prepare for global payments with a MoR?

Short-drama products often combine low-value purchases, frequent transactions, virtual content and fast consumption. A Merchant of Record path can coordinate parts of global payment operations, but available methods, tax responsibilities and risk controls still depend on product and market review.

01

Can one payment setup cover users in every market?

Payment preferences vary by market. Cards, bank-based methods and digital wallets may each matter, but no single method or provider can be assumed to cover every buyer.

NineLogix reviews the target markets, transaction currencies, price points, buyer devices and available payment-channel capabilities before confirming a proposed payment mix. Actual methods and country coverage are confirmed case by case; application does not guarantee availability.

02

How can checkout friction be reduced?

For low-value and impulse purchases, extra steps, unclear prices or a checkout that does not work well on mobile can increase abandonment. The useful preparation work includes a clear offer, localized price display where supported, transparent renewal or credit terms, and a short checkout path.

NineLogix can help review checkout requirements and configure an approved payment path. Conversion results still depend on the product, audience, traffic quality, pricing and the capabilities available in each market; no conversion improvement is guaranteed.

03

How should fraud and chargeback risk be handled?

Virtual content, frequent low-value transactions and rapid consumption can create difficult evidence and refund situations. Product partners must preserve order, account, device, delivery, viewing or entitlement records and provide them to NineLogix when needed. Buyers use the NineLogix support and refund path for accepted MoR transactions.

NineLogix may coordinate available transaction controls and dispute materials under the agreed operating path. Controls cannot eliminate fraud or chargebacks, and responsibility, reserves, evidence requirements and losses are governed by the final agreement and applicable channel rules.

04

What about transaction tax and settlement? Is an overseas account required?

A MoR can take on defined seller-of-record and transaction-tax responsibilities where the agreed model and applicable market rules permit. It does not automatically cover every tax, including the founder's own income, corporate or other non-transaction tax obligations.

Settlement currency, cycle, fees, reserves and eligible beneficiary account must be confirmed during onboarding. An overseas bank account may not be a universal prerequisite, but NineLogix does not promise that every mainland China account, currency or market combination is supported.

05

What is required to apply?

The process starts with an access application, followed by product and risk review, business configuration, payment validation and launch preparation when the product can proceed. Timing and requirements vary by content model, target markets, pricing, delivery evidence and available payment capabilities.

Short-drama applicants should be ready to explain content ownership and licensing, audience age, content moderation, pricing and credit model, renewal terms, refund policy, delivery evidence, privacy handling and target markets.
