Can I apply without a Russian company? Application versus approval to launch
NineLogix editorial team · Published October 25, 2026
Yes. You can submit a NineLogix application without first forming a Russian company. Individual founders, sole proprietors and existing companies can present their real business for review. An application, a registration invitation and permission to launch are different decisions; none guarantees acceptance of every product, payment or settlement account.
1. What does ‘without a Russian company’ mean?
NineLogix does not make Russian incorporation a universal prerequisite for submitting an application. A founder operating elsewhere can describe an existing entity or apply in their actual individual or sole-proprietor capacity. Do not select a company type you do not have or use another person's identity.
Applicants using Russia's NPD self-employed status may also present their circumstances for review. This is an application route, not a determination that NPD is suitable for every activity or that a particular bank or payment method will accept the applicant. Your residence, legal status, product, customer markets and intended funds path still matter.
2. What can I prepare before registering a merchant account?
Use the public Apply form to describe the actual operator, product or demo URL, what the buyer receives, target countries, proposed pricing and how digital access is delivered after payment. Explain whether the product is your own or supplied under a licence, and provide a clear support and refund route.
For a Russia Store, plan RUB pricing and describe the intended one-time purchase. A monthly product description does not establish recurring-payment availability. A separate Store helps keep Russia's currency, payment methods and operating terms distinct from other markets.
You do not need a Merchant Portal account to ask an initial question. Email contact@ninelogix.com with your product URL and the issue you would like clarified. Do not send identity documents or bank credentials by ordinary email; requested evidence belongs in the protected merchant workflow.
3. Four steps, with a different meaning at each step
The public journey is: Apply for access → Configure business → Validate payments → Launch operations. The workspace groups the work into the following four steps. A completed earlier step does not stand in for the later decision.
1. Business & markets
NineLogix reviews the application and its scope. A registration invitation lets you set up a merchant account; it is not permission to begin collecting payments.
2. Merchant verification
Provide the requested identity or company evidence and confirm responsibilities. Verification concerns the operator, not blanket approval of all products.
3. Products & payment setup
Prepare the Store, product, price, delivery, support and refund information. Eligible payment methods and market-specific terms are confirmed for the reviewed Store.
4. Verify & launch
Check Checkout and the delivery/integration path, resolve outstanding requirements and obtain the formal launch confirmation. A working link or technically ready Checkout alone is not that confirmation.
4. What is reviewed before selling to Russian customers?
Review considers identity and residence, the real business model, ownership or distribution rights, delivery, refund exposure, customer markets, applicable sanctions and channel restrictions. Depending on the case, an appropriate entity, additional agreement or other evidence may be required. Applying first helps identify the actual requirements before committing to incorporation.
The current public Russia path covers approved one-time RUB Stores that may be assigned SBP and supported Russian bank cards. This is not a promise that every bank, buyer, country, product or recurring billing model is supported. A buyer's individual payment can still be declined after a Store has been approved.
For an accepted sale, NineLogix is the disclosed consumer-facing seller under the agreed Merchant of Record arrangement. The product partner remains responsible for its product rights, fulfilment and agreed support duties. MoR does not remove the applicant's own legal or tax responsibilities.
5. Must I make a real payment or provide a payout account immediately?
Checkout technical readiness is required. A real pre-launch payment is not a universal requirement: where it has not happened, the first live order supplies the actual transaction evidence. Do not repeatedly attempt a payment merely to move an application forward.
You can explain your intended settlement arrangement during review. Bank details are not a universal initial application requirement, and missing payout details alone should not become a redundant onboarding step. An eligible merchant-named account must still be verified before an actual payout. Currency, FX, fees, timing and thresholds follow the reviewed arrangement and final agreement.
Payment received, digital product delivered, reconciled funds, settlement and payout are different facts. Launch approval does not mean money is already available for withdrawal.
6. Three examples of how to proceed
An overseas software company without a Russian entity: apply using the existing company and explain its product, Russia audience and proposed RUB Store. Do not form a new entity solely on the assumption it is required by NineLogix.
An individual creator or sole proprietor: state the actual legal capacity and residence, describe the digital product and provide the evidence requested after review. Eligibility is assessed individually.
A founder who has received an invitation or sees a Checkout link: continue with the outstanding workspace tasks and wait for the formal launch confirmation before presenting the Store as approved for normal live sales.
