FAQ · Going to Russia, Part 5

What does it really cost to collect payments for digital products in Russia?

After a customer pays in RUB, how much does the merchant actually receive? This guide puts transaction fees, FX, refunds, settlement timing and payout conditions into one operating model—and explains why Russia should be managed in a separate Store.

Net settlement = customer payment − payment and MoR fees − FX costs − refund or dispute adjustments − payout and bank fees − other agreed adjustments

1. Separate global standard pricing from Russia Store terms

NineLogix's published global standard price is Setup 0 plus 4% + US$0.40 per successful transaction.

For Russia, payment fees, FX, settlement cycles, payout thresholds and conditions depend on the Store, product, method, settlement account and review. They are confirmed during the Store application and governed by the approved configuration and final agreement.

2. Why use a separate Russia Store?

Currency, payment methods, monitoring policies, settlement bank and timing can differ from global sales. A separate Store keeps pricing, orders, refunds and reconciliation explainable.

A separate Store is an operating and risk boundary inside NineLogix. It does not by itself require a Russian company or a second merchant registration.

Russia StoreRUB pricing, approved SBP/Russian cards, separate Checkout and settlement terms

3. Model the full cost of one order

Start with the amount paid and record transaction service fees, applicable local payment costs, the RUB conversion basis and timing, refund or dispute adjustments, and receiving-bank fees.

A successful payment is not the same as an available payout. Delivery, risk review and reconciliation still matter.

  • Transaction and MoR service fees
  • RUB conversion into the approved settlement currency
  • Refunds, disputes and possible FX differences
  • Settlement threshold, cycle and bank charges

4. Compare SBP and Russian bank cards

The current public boundary is an approved one-time RUB Store, where SBP and supported Russian bank cards may be requested. Availability, pricing and limits are Store-specific.

Use controlled orders to test payment confirmation, callbacks, digital delivery, refunds and reconciliation. A test result does not automatically enable production.

SBPLocal bank-app flow; verify confirmation, timeout and refund handling
Russian cardsFamiliar card flow; verify supported scope, risk controls and decline reasons

5. How does RUB become the merchant's settlement currency?

Confirm the approved currency, account ownership, FX reference, conversion time, spread or fee, and treatment of refund FX differences during application.

Do not assume the merchant receives RUB directly. Local collection, licensed conversion and settlement to an eligible global account are separate steps, subject to the approved structure and agreement.

6. Payment success is not payout availability

An order may move through paid, delivered, available, reconciled, settled and paid_out. Delivery evidence, refund windows, risk adjustments, settlement batches and minimum thresholds affect timing.

Reconcile order amount, fees, refunds, adjustments and payout by settlement batch rather than estimating cash flow from gross website sales.

7. Include refund economics

A refund can affect revenue, non-refundable transaction fees, refund handling, FX differences, bank costs and dispute adjustments. Disclosures and delivery evidence must match the actual operation.

Model normal completion, partial refund, full refund and dispute scenarios—not only the ideal sale.

8. Implement a separate Russia Store in NineLogix

Define the market and products, create RUB prices, request methods, prepare Russian disclosures and a separate Checkout, then run controlled delivery and refund tests. Confirm commercial and settlement terms before applying for Store production launch.

Merchant approval does not automatically approve every Store, product, price or method.

  • Scope the Russia catalog
  • Create reviewed RUB prices
  • Request SBP/supported Russian cards
  • Test Checkout, webhook, delivery and refunds
  • Confirm account, cycle, threshold and reconciliation fields
  • Launch and review margin at Store level

9. Application checklist

Prepare the product URL or demo, what the customer receives, RUB prices, delivery method, refund/support entry points, expected volume and proposed settlement account. Submit sensitive KYC/KYB or banking evidence only in the authenticated workspace when requested.

Start with one core product and one price, close the operating loop, then expand.
