Can my digital business use a Merchant of Record? 14 practical onboarding and payment FAQs
You have a digital product and customers in mind. Before integrating payments, confirm three things: whether the business can be accepted, how customers can pay, and where the proceeds can be settled. These answers address common questions from independent creators and software founders.

Buyer payment methods and merchant settlement are separate decisions. An available Checkout method does not confirm eligibility for your legal structure or receiving bank. Can an individual or Russian self-employed person under NPD apply without a company?
You can submit an application describing your actual legal status, including Russian self-employed status (самозанятый / НПД) without an individual entrepreneur (ИП) or company registration. Acceptance is not automatic: the entity, residence, product, buyer markets and settlement destination must fit an available operating path. NineLogix has not confirmed a general NPD onboarding route; request an assessment before integrating.

Would a foreign company with Russian founders or beneficial owners be eligible?
A foreign incorporation alone does not determine eligibility. Review considers the operating company, founders and beneficial owners, their locations, actual business activity and receiving account together. Describe the existing or proposed structure accurately in your application. Obtain a setup-specific assessment before incurring incorporation or integration costs.

Can proceeds be settled in RUB to Ozon Bank or T-Bank in Russia?
NineLogix has not confirmed RUB settlement to either Ozon Bank or T-Bank for Russian NPD individuals. Acceptance of a Russian customer's payment does not imply payout to a Russian bank. State your beneficiary status, preferred bank and currency in the application so the settlement path can be assessed separately. Do not treat either bank as supported until the destination and terms are expressly confirmed.

Can a newly launched store apply without an established monthly sales volume?
Yes. Give an honest estimate instead of presenting a forecast as sales history. Include representative products, price range, expected buyer countries, traffic sources and delivery method. Low initial volume can affect the practical cost and timing of payouts, so confirm the minimum payout and bank fees before launch.

Can I sell downloadable artwork, tattoo designs or ZIP files?
Original digital artwork can be submitted for product review. Show representative files or previews, what the buyer receives and when, and the personal-use or commercial license. Explain whether the license allows one tattoo, reuse or redistribution; provide clear refund and support information. Intellectual-property rights and the product's actual content must be reviewable; a digital download is not automatically approved.

Is a non-custodial crypto portfolio tracking or analytics SaaS eligible?
An informational software subscription can be assessed on its actual features. Explain whether it only displays portfolio data and alerts, and whether it handles assets, private keys, trading, exchange, advice or signals. Being non-custodial does not by itself confirm approval: product scope, marketing claims, legal structure and the available payment path still matter. Submit a demo and feature description for a product-specific review.

Can a paid VPN subscription or Telegram-based service apply?
Submit the service website or bot demo, operating entity, customer markets, subscription terms, privacy practices, acceptable-use rules and support process. A Telegram Stars integration does not establish eligibility for cards or SBP. VPN products require an individual review of the service and applicable payment conditions; recurring billing must also be confirmed separately from one-time payment access.

Can customers use ordinary Visa or Mastercard cards issued by US banks?
International card Checkout is available for eligible, approved Stores, including suitable US customer sales. This does not guarantee acceptance of every card or approval of a particular merchant, entity or market combination. Request card payments and list the US, UK or other intended countries in your application. Final authorization depends on the approved route, issuer and individual transaction.

How do SBP and Russian bank cards differ from international cards? Do I need separate Stores?
Approved one-time RUB sales can use SBP and supported Russian bank cards. These are separate capabilities from international Visa/Mastercard Checkout. If you target both Russia and North America or Europe, describe both markets: separate Stores may be recommended when currencies, prices, terms or payment routes differ. NineLogix confirms the methods for each Store; a wallet or a Russian card route is not a substitute for an international card request.

Can customers pay in cryptocurrency, or can merchants receive stablecoin payouts?
Cryptocurrency Checkout and stablecoin payouts are not currently offered as generally available NineLogix options. An informational crypto-related product does not automatically gain crypto payment or payout access. Describe the business in your application, but plan around the payment and bank settlement options expressly confirmed for your Store.

Can I offer monthly or yearly subscriptions, usage billing or prepaid credits?
Fixed monthly and yearly card subscriptions can be allocated to eligible Stores. A one-time Russia SBP or card approval does not confirm recurring Russian payments. Usage-based pricing and credits need a clear entitlement and delivery model and separate confirmation of supported billing; software credits must not be presented as a wallet or cash balance. Confirm each price's amount, currency, billing interval, renewal and cancellation terms before publishing.

Can I keep my own delivery system and activate access after an API or webhook payment confirmation?
Yes, merchant-controlled digital delivery is an available integration model for approved setups. Request API + Webhook or hosted Checkout with a signed payment notification, and confirm Test/Live availability for your Store before development. Verify the webhook signature, match the order reference and amount/currency, and deduplicate events before sending a ZIP file or activating access. A browser success page alone is not proof of payment; payment success and successful delivery remain separate records.

What are the transaction fees, payout currency and minimum payout?
The public standard international-card baseline is no setup fee and 4% + US$0.40 per successful transaction. Russia and other local-payment paths have separate terms; the standard rate must not be assumed for SBP or Russian cards. Settlement currency, timing, minimum payout, bank/FX charges and any refund or dispute costs are confirmed for the approved setup. There is no universal RUB payout or minimum payout promise: review the current pricing page and request the applicable terms through your application.

What should I do if an application fails, Save stays disabled, or I am unsure what comes after review?
Check the visible field messages, including URL format, currency, billing interval and the selected Store. If you have an application reference, contact contact@ninelogix.com with that reference, the affected step and a screenshot without sensitive information; avoid duplicate applications. If submission failed before a reference was issued, provide your business contact and product URL so support can help you complete the website application. Product review, payment configuration and Checkout publication are distinct milestones: follow the next action shown in your workspace or notification, and use a purchase link only after it is published.
